how travel blogging has changed my life

I still remember the day I decided to start a travel blog, it was a typical sunday morning and I was browsing through wananusa.com looking at all the beautiful pictures of bali, thinking to myself how amazing it would be to explore the world and share my experiences with others. that was about 5 years ago, and since then my life has taken a dramatic turn, I have been to over 10 countries, met some incredible people and learned so much about different cultures.

the beginning of my journey

at first, it was tough, I had no idea how to write, take good pictures or even create a website, but I was determined to make it work, I spent countless hours watching youtube videos, reading blogs and practicing my writing skills. slowly but surely my blog started to gain traction, people were reading my posts and engaging with my content.

my first big trip

after about a year of blogging, I decided to take my first big trip, I saved up enough money and booked a ticket to japan, it was a country I had always been fascinated by, the food, the culture, the history, everything about it seemed so intriguing. I spent 2 weeks exploring the country, trying all sorts of delicious food, visiting ancient temples and meeting fellow travelers.

the people i met along the way

one of the best things about travel blogging is the people you meet along the way, I have met some incredible individuals who share similar passions and interests. we swap stories, share tips and advice and sometimes even collaborate on projects. it’s amazing how a shared love of travel can bring people together.

the challenges i faced

of course, it’s not all been easy, there have been times when I felt like giving up, when the blog wasn’t gaining traction or when I was feeling overwhelmed by the amount of work involved. but every time I felt like quitting, I would think back to why I started in the first place, the love of travel and sharing my experiences with others.

how travel blogging has changed me

travel blogging has changed me in so many ways, it’s helped me develop a new sense of confidence, taught me how to be more independent and shown me that there’s so much more to life than what’s in my backyard. it’s also given me a new perspective on life, made me appreciate the little things and taught me how to be more patient and understanding.

my plans for the future

as for the future, I have big plans, I want to continue traveling and exploring new countries, meeting new people and trying new foods. I also want to grow my blog and share my experiences with even more people. who knows what the future holds, but one thing is for sure, I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.

a final thought

I often get asked for advice on how to start a travel blog or how to make it successful, my answer is always the same, just start writing and see where it takes you. don’t worry too much about the technical aspects or whether you’re good enough, just focus on sharing your passion for travel with others. and most importantly, don’t be afraid to take risks and try new things.

  • always be open to new experiences
  • don’t be afraid to try new foods
  • respect local cultures and traditions
  • take time to appreciate the little things
  • never stop learning and growing

I hope that my story can inspire others to follow their dreams and pursue their passions, whether it’s travel blogging or something else entirely. remember that life is short and we should make the most of every moment.
